Harem Pants Dance...

This S|S season, everyone seems to be showing these Harem pants...at first look, they seem a bit frightening. I just think they are fabulous. For that street chic doll is the contestant that can pull these off, jotting to the market, coffee bean & tea leaf, Robertson Blvd for shopping, or buying Tyrant online...these will flow into any occasion. I have paired them here with Lanvin flats, a simple top with a sheen, statement necklace, and threw in a Missoni turban for that finishing touch of glam. Don't stress how to sport this desert couture look..its supposed to be effortless.

Enjoy! and don't forget to send me photos of you in your Harems...;)

Thanks Stef and Jess for sending in your fantastic looks! The Harem pants are incredible! Obsessing over that scarf Stef, and is that le gladiator top from Nanette Lepore Jess?! Ty's eye can spy... You are Tyrant Dolls!

Water into Gaultier?

Jean Paul Gualtier himself.

Picture this...Transsexuals, large plus sized models, heavily tattooed bodies...all down the same runway. Now do I have your attention? No. But Parisian rebel Jean Paul Gaultier does. JPG is one of the most provocative designers in fashion. At the same time, he is one of the only fashion houses that is running a lucrative business. Hermès, reported an increase at the end of last quarter. One of the only luxury brands to do so. While his shows strike controversy, his numbers strike gold.
JPG began his career in 1970 working as an assistant to Pierre Cardin. Apprenticing at Pierre, Jean Paul launched his own label six years later. Continuing to drop jaws up and down the front row of his shows, he landed a monumental position in his career...Designing the infamous cone bra the Madonna wore during her Blond Ambition tour.
Creating a hype about his lifestyle and loves, Hermès Paris collected him to take on their collections in 2003. Redes
igning iconic bags such as the Birkin into a clutch. That is not the only iconic good Jean Paul reformed. In 2009 JPG got his icy hands around Evian waters design. My first piece of Jean Paul Gaultier coincidentally is the Evian bottle(that I wont open). Next up I am dying to get my hands on his signature. Stripes! Le French Sailor Stripe is a staple among his elements of form. Until next time, Au Revoire! and ahoy there sailor!
Madonna in the cone!

A look from Spring RTW 2010 at Hermès tennis anyone?

Words of Wisdom

"Ask yourself, Are you sure this world is for you? And are you sure you are the right person to survive in this world-the world of fashion, a world with no rules, no laws?"

"Love me or Hate me"...Olivia is still our Obsession

Miss Olivia Palermo might just be the most loved, hated, smitten, discarded, and adored lady on reality T.V. right now. Regardless of what you think of her personality, she has without a doubt, the most coveted style out there. Her perfectly pitched pairings of a H&M silk ruffle top blouse, Dior cigarette jeans, YSL pumps, chunky statement necklace( designed by her aunt who makes costume jewelry) that she finishes off by caring her understated but clearly there Hermès Birkin.

Raised on the island of Manhattan, in one of the classiest neighborhoods, The Upper East Side, Olivia fine tuned her style. Taking inspiration from the streets of Paris, London, and her own New York City. Miss Palermo's signature look is defiantly updated men's wear. Mixing an evening tuxedo with her femme fatale demure, add a statement necklace or cocktail ring, throw a Chloè satchel on your lower fore arm and there you are. Almost... complete the "Oliviazation" with a blunt double dose of boot black eyeliner from MAC over a nude sheen of eye shadow, and glaze your lips with NARS orgasm. Dust MAC's Sushi Flower eye shadow onto your apples to get that perfect refreshed "ready for a day at ELLE" look.

Now...are there any more questions as to why this doll is Tyrant Style's Girl of the moment?
I didn't think so.

An End to Zen?

a Zen garden in a Kyoto Temple.

This Holiday season, life seems so frantic. Mostly because it is. Family, parties, events, dinners...when do you have time for yourself? Back in the 6th century, Japan adapted a type of "dry garden" also called a zen garden. Originally formed to give the aristocrats a place to enjoy entertainment and poetry, the Monks further adapted these gardens into a high couture art over 100's of years of Temple gardening. Emptying their minds of
worldly distractions.
Well, how I wish that the time to play with a stick rake and a couple of hot massage rocks was afforded to me. But because its not, I came across the little gem of an iPhone app, called iZen. Naturally. With this baby I can create my own zen garden anywhere I please. With the soothing sound (seriously, very tranquil) of wind chimes, you are able to add your own rocks, sand type, butterflies and more to your own private piece of real estate.
Not your cup of green tea? Try the Vera Wang Moonstone necklace on. As soon as I saw this, she reminded me of a zen garden. Large scatted stones screamingly framed by the gunmetal link chain, set on asymmetric black mesh. Picture the compliments you'll be raking in with this statement piece.

My clever garden..so at peace..

Fashionably Late

I'll be honest...I have a problem. A problem forgetting to accomplish tasks, forgetting times, deadlines, even lunches. Running late can sometimes be parallel with Ty. Fortunate for me there is a recent gem that I have come across. A gorgeous piece of hand crafted goat leather forged into the incredible,"Globe Trotter" by Hermés. In the iconic orange this is one piece that I will never let leave my side. To jot down life's dates, there is only one instrument for the job. A true investment piece. The Montblanc Amadeus Mozart ball pen. Platinum constricts the black resin to give this the ultimate in lux. The white stylised six pointed star upon the cap represents the snow cap on top of Mount Mont Blanc in the French Alps. Another engraving are the letters "4810" the mountains height. Keeping this agenda and power tool at bay, will keep you right where you belong. Wherever that may be.
Globe Trotter $620 hermes.com
Grand Modèle agenda $105 hermes.com
Amadeus $350 montblanc.com

Savvy Shopper:
Grab the lux look from Franklin Covey. The impact of orange and woven design make this an incredible agenda.

Wham, Bam, thank you Stam...Jessica, that is.

Jessica has had a most normal life.
By definition here, "normal" entails winning the LA Model Look Search in '02, being picked up by Steven Meisel to become the face of his ad campaigns. "I guess I am his Muse." Her list of designers she has appeared in advertisements for, is among the longest of any...Marc Jacobs, Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, Anna Sui, Vera Wang, Bulgari, Fendi, Lanvin, RobertoooCavallliii..........you get the idea. Covering over 65 shows during the twenty one days of fashion week across the globe, this Tyrant Doll is among the top. During a meeting with Marc Jacobs, he proclaimed to her that she would carry out the name to his new bag. Behold the Stam bag, I certainly know I would. With all the accomplishments this far in her career, it is incredible how level headed and a true gem Jess is. That is why she, Jessica Stam is the Tyrant Girl of the moment.

Shape-Up or Ship out...

This week as I was scouring the latest and greatest, I came upon this fantastic find; The Skecher Shape-Up. I know this is Tyrant Style, and lets be honest, these kicks are anything but. Keep in mind, the results these dogs will provide your body are unprecedented compared to any other orthopedic. With jumping claims to a tighter stomach, toned thighs and legs, better posture, great calves, and overall increased blood circulation...you would be crazy not to get into a pair. With a rocking sensation, you can walk your way to a rocking new bod. The American Podiatry Medical Association says the average person takes 8,000 to 10,000 steps a day. With an average stride length of 2.5 Ft, it takes a little over 2,000 steps to mile. It seems everyone is making the most of their walk. Cult followers Gwen Stefani, Cindy Crawford, and soon me...I will keep you all updated on how these shoes effect me! Now I know what you are thinking, "Ty needs to loose NO weight!" I am no Joelle, but I'll be honest, I don't look like Jillian Michaels from the Biggest Loser, yet. I believe with the help of these babies, I can!
