Bride of CHANEL

Chanel seems to have certainly dove into the Halloween spirit creating a dazzling display of what I interpret to be the Brides of Frankenstein-or the Brides of Karl. Here inside their Robertson Blvd. window lies the three villains. With the raw fluorescent bulbs giving a heart beat of life, these fabulous dolls are ready to catch the beat of the city.

Watch your back babes,

Ask Ty. . . "How do I wear animal print?"

I LOVE animal print, be it embossed, real hide, or faux the one thing I endorse is. . . Wear it! The key to sporting a loud piece is to use it as an accent. Same would apply with a great pop of color in your wardrobe or cosmetics for that matter. For example, you wouldn't wear a bright lip, deep blush, and a colorful eye, you would look like the Joker. Same goes for your day wear.

Erin wrote in from Redondo Beach, Ca. and asked me how she could rock this trend. I paired it with a few different looks to take you any where you want to go.

The first look I added a snake belt to a Elizabeth and James cardigan, finishing off this neutral look.

Next I added a fabulous leopard Prada pump to a Balenciaga blazer, J Brand skinny, and adding a muted color with the moss Balenciaga bag.

Missoni, Missoni, Missoni. The perfect compliment to this great Marc Jacobs python quilted bag. finish it off with a tasseled Louboutin and your boho chic just got dreamier.

Have a great night kitties,

Ty

Parties, Places, and People- FNO Part duex!

Inspiration was all around during Fashion's Night Out. From the above snapshot of a new emerging designer showcasing their collection at Industry, to the intense interior crowds at boutiques transformed into night clubs-there was defiantly magic in the air!

One of the most important realizations I took home from this experience- we are all characters in this movie we call "Life." Just a question, are you an extra, supporting actor, or the STAR ? Personally, I am for the latter!

Have a great night dolls,

Ty

Making waves at FNO! Part 1

It was ahmazing! It was fabulous! It was a success! Fashion's Night Out in L.A. this past weekend was absolutely brilliant! The streets were packed with civilians, celebrities, and Porche Cayennes.

We spent the evening on the trendy Robertson Blvd. Every boutique had their own party going on- cocktails and thumping music at John Varvatos, a d.j. spinning and mix drinks at Intermix, hors d'oeuvres at Alice and Olivia, and margaritas at DVF. The most fun of all was watching everyone run up and down the streets in a shopping frenzy. That was after all the point of the evening.

Perez Hilton was at Phillip Lim 3.1, Taylor Jacobson from Rachel Zoe was at Kasil Denim, Kelly Osbourne was manning a ferris wheel for the circus on Rodeo, and we caught up with our own Tyrant Collection starlet Debby Ryan! Debby is one of the stars of Disney's The suite life of Zach and Cody and a complete doll! We just love seeing our jewelry on her!

After the festivities died down we headed to the new club Industry- which was having a post-shopping soiree for FNO's tee shirt designer Marc Blaskovits. As I was talking to this energetic french character, he shared with me a captivating insiders look at his design. Looking at the graphics on the lower half of the tee, you can see that it resembles European streets and flows into the road to America, thus full filling the American dream. I thought it was genius and really loved Marc's perspective on what we are all trying to achieve.

Innocent until proven GUILTY

Being Guilty never smelled so good! Gucci has introduced the newest addition to their ever growing fragrance collection: Guilty! Hitting your senses with mandarin, pink pepper, lilac, and peach, with a touch of patchouli and amber. An absolute delight; I love this women's fragrance! It is such a warm, sensual sent. And speaking of guilty. . .

This month, Vanity Fair has put locked-up Lohan on the cover with a surprisingly moving article with details about the past ten years of her personal Hell. This all-American shoot captures Lindsay's stunning beauty (sans ankle monitor) as she portrays a Hollywood starlet taking a vacay in the south of France. She divulges, "I want my career back, I want the respect that I had when I was doing great movies. And if that takes not going out to a club at night, then so be it. It's not fun anyway. I don't care. It's the same thing every time."

Let's face it, I am an American, and Americans love a good comeback story. Therefore I love a good comeback story and believe that Ms. Lohan will without a doubt be back before we know it.

See you soon.

Fashion's Night Out? That makes two of us.

The Issue is out! September could NOT be more packed with fashion. . . First of all, we start with the latest version of our bible. Next up: NYC Fashion Week! During which Anna Wintour is putting on her annual shopping extravaganza called Fashion's Night Out (or FNO)! Where designers, stylists, and models flock to the streets and boutiques to entice the consumer with special purchases, limited edition products, and personal meet and greets! This year Anna has expanded FNO to many other cities across the country and all over the globe.

This year Brandon and I will be experiencing Fashion's Night Out in LA! Shopping along the infamous Rodeo Drive. More exciting details on that to come. Below is an interview with Ms. Wintour and the beloved Marc Jacobs.

Enjoy fashionistas!

Ask Ty. . . "How do I wear the box top?"

I am always here to help. I get quite a few emails every day asking fashion advice, which I love by the way! This question came from Sydney in Palm Beach, Florida: How do I wear the box top?

This fall is all about texture play, silhouette proportion, men's wear, and the utilitarian look. All that can be captured within the box top! I am thrilled when a piece can be transformed into many looks. Here, we start out with a James Perse top. . .

The first is paired with grey skinnies, embellished flats, and a clutch, hitting off the proportion juxtaposition perfectly.

Next I have it paired back to harem pants, a utilitarian boot, and a shapely satchel.
The last look is a bit glam: a herringbone short over leggings with an oxford bootie, the structured bag, and a chain wrapped statement necklace. All men's wear inspired pieces with a feminine twist.

Thank you for the question Sydney!
Keep them coming.

Over and out shoppers,

Ty
